About Me

Born and raised in Mendoza, a place nestled between the mountains that remains dear to her heart, Felicitas's earliest memories are of transforming her grandmother's scarves into dresses and adorning herself with her jewelry. Working within the limits of what she had access to greatly influenced her creative development as she crafted bracelets and embroidered worn-out T-shirts–elevating the ordinary and creating something completely new from found material.

Later, Felicitas moved to Buenos Aires to study law, immersing herself in the city's rich cultural landscape. Despite her academic pursuits, she remained deeply connected to fashion and design.

As the founder and designer of AMENGUAL, Felicitas's journey into jewelry design is profoundly personal. Inspired not only by the creation of beautiful objects but by the deeper narratives. Each piece embodies and creates—the emotions, memories, and connections they evoke in those who wear them. To her, jewelry transcends mere accessory; it is an intimate form of self-expression, a reflection of one's personal story, and a legacy imbued with meaning.

The Process

The How

Behind every finished piece lies an intricate, collaborative journey. Felicitas starts the process by drawing, then sculpting and refining each design in wax—a meticulous process that allows her to explore form and structure in depth. Beyond her own work, each piece is brought to life by a team of artisans, from those who craft the metal alloys to the foundry workers, polishers, setters, and finishers. This journey is not without its challenges, often involving trial and error. It is through this rigorous process that AMENGUAL brings its designs to life, harmonizing the “innovation of contemporary design with the mastery of traditional craftsmanship.”
